English Practice for ICN Congress 2025: Professional Conversations and Networking - Gruppe 2

The DBfK is offering short English language sessions for members who are travelling to Helsinki and would like to ‘warm up’ their English in advance.

 Are you attending the ICN Congress 2025 in Helsinki? Do you feel nervous about networking with colleagues in English? Would you like an opportunity to practice making professional small talk with a native English speaker?

In this session, led by DBfK National Board Member and native English speaker, Elizabeth Tollenaere, we will:

• Discuss appropriate and polite ways to start a professional conversation in English.
• Practice introducing ourselves to colleagues in English.
• Practice making small talk about nursing topics in English.
• Each participant will have the opportunity to practice their English in a supportive small group online environment.

Please note: This session is for colleagues with some knowledge of English who are travelling to the ICN Congress in Helsinki only. It is not a replacement for an English language course.
