(Online-Seminar) Pflegefachenglisch - English for Intensive and Emergency Care

This course covers cultural and medical issues that are relevant to emergency nursing and also focuses on the challenges of working in an intensive care unit.

This course will enable you to communicate with your patients and their relatives in a confident and professional manner. It is ideal for any nurses who are interested in working in conflict areas and wish to gain more knowledge about working in a multi-disciplinary team.

During the course, students will cover a range of diagnoses (e.g. shock symptoms, cardiac problems) and how to assess patients with various medical issues. Topics for discussion will include neurological, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders as well as pre- and postoperative assessments.

We will also focus on effective communication within a team, since the ability to correctly use medical terminology in a challenging environment can produce life-saving results.

Die Online-Seminare werden live über die Online-Plattform Zoom übertragen und professionell moderiert. Sie können z.B. über einen Chat Fragen stellen und sich mit den Dozierenden sowie den anderen Teilnehmenden austauschen.

Als Teilnehmer/in benötigen Sie:

• Einen gängigen Webbrowser (z.B. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer)
• Eine stabile Internetverbindung
• Lautsprecher / Kopfhörer sowie Mikrofon und Kamera an Ihrem Endgerät (Desktop-PC / Laptop / Tablet / Smartphone)
